At Estes Therapy, we offer a safe and welcoming space for you to explore your emotions, heal from pain, navigate grief, and find support through recovery—or whatever may be holding you back. Our goal is to help you grow into the happiest, healthiest version of yourself.

You’ll gain valuable tools and skills to improve your well-being and relationships. We commonly help clients work through issues like communication challenges, anxiety, stress, abuse, conflict resolution, severe trauma, PTSD, body image struggles, self-esteem concerns, and loneliness.

**Your journey to healing starts here!**

These issues all will continue to prevent you from feeling in tune with yourself, and feeling like you can and will be the person you want to be. Some issues you face that bring you into our therapy offices will be easier to conquer, and we can do so in a few therapy sessions. However often, other, deeper wounds reveal themselves as you let yourself explore your inner hurdles, requiring more time and attention.

In couples therapy, you can rekindle your spark, improve communication & conflict resolution, and work through tough issues like infidelity. Our approach to couples counseling focuses on how to form, repair, and strengthen the attachment bond in your relationship. We’ll get you back on the same page and feel like you’re speaking the same language again. Therapy is a great preventative tool to keep you and your partner emotionally connected and able to navigate tough conversations before they drive distance between you.

Something brought you here — maybe it’s a relationship that left you questioning yourself, a faith you’re no longer sure fits, a life chapter that just closed, or a version of yourself you’re trying to find again.

Whatever it is, you don’t have to carry it alone.I specialize in working with (women who are rebuilding after emotionally destructive or narcissistic relationships— people who gave a lot of themselves and are now working to reclaim their voice, their sense of reality, and their own identity. This work is some of the most meaningful I do, and I approach it with both steadiness and deep respect for how disorienting that kind of healing can be.

I also support people navigating religious trauma and faith deconstruction — the grief, the identity shifts, the loss of community, and the complicated task of figuring out what you want to keep and what you need to leave behind. This is a nuanced space, and I hold it without judgment. Beyond those core areas, I work with individuals facing major life transitions: becoming a parent, going through divorce, launching kids into adulthood, starting over, or simply arriving at a season where the old map no longer applies.

My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I’m an active participant in sessions — I don’t just listen quietly and reflect back. I help you slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and connect the patterns from your past to the way you’re showing up today. I draw from Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Parts Work (IFS-informed), and attachment-based frameworks to get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck. My path to this work started on the other side of the couch, in a season of my own life that felt unsustainable. That experience deeply shapes how I show up — with genuine respect for your story, and a steady belief in your capacity to heal.I work with: individuals, adults, women navigating relationship recovery, parents and co-parents, people in spiritual transition, and those facing grief and loss.I’m available: in-person at Mission Valley (Wednesdays & Thursdays) and Oceanside (Mondays), and via telehealth. If you’re ready to take that first step — even if it feels uncertain — I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
